Freedom is not

to be taken

for granted.

For they fought for

this, our freedom,

in trenches.

It is a right

to be treasured,

faithfully.

For they fought for

these rights we have,

in dogfights.

We fight to stay

free from a cage

others make.

For they fought for

liberty then

on the waves.

Know our voices

will still be heard

in this world.

We fight today

for this freedom

with brave hearts.

We remember,

those who fought then,

Who fight now.

Never forget

that the reason

is freedom.
