Author’s Note: We live in a world where truth is wielded as a weapon, yet what is it really?
Content warning: Philosophical
Truth is a complex web
Of things we know,
We think we know,
We do not know.
Facts observable
To the eye
Are still seen through
The vision of self.
Consider this truth:
The sky is blue.
Yet skies are grey,
And dark as night.
Stereotypes exist
In memory snapshots,
Useful and not
In discerning truth.
The man in black
Is not always Evil
Nor the girl in white
The innocent angel.
Truth is not yours
Nor mine in whole,
But everything we
Together perceive.
