Nobody sees the battles we face
In our hearts;
In our minds;
In these frail mortal shells
Of flesh and blood.
Everyone sees the covers we place
In our homes;
In our work;
As we play normal selves
Of happy cheer.
Be wary of the judgements we make
In assumption;
In fast haste;
In these moments of shared
Space with someone.
Kindness in all the actions we take
Warm our hearts;
Calm our minds;
And remember well all
Are flesh and blood.
