You never cared

You never cared that you broke my heart,

Finished sentences torn apart.

I was blinded by the light of hope,

Hanging myself with miles of rope.

You never showed that you wanted more,

Your heart already out the door.

I was fooled by the shiny cover,

Ignored the ugly in my lover.

You never offered me that diamond ring,

Sweat and sex and worthless bling.

I was dreaming of the perfect dress,

Never seeing the bloody mess.

You never wanted my love in your life,

Cut me away with a sharp knife.

I was thinking a soulmate found,

Missed you being a dirty hound.

You never cared that you broke my heart,

Finished and done and torn apart.
