Crucifixion

Crown my bloody head,

Nail my hands and feet.

Fix me to a cross,

This is not defeat.

I admit I’m scared.

I admit my fear.

When Satan tempts me

I feel His love near.

Mother Mary cries.

I can hear her weep;

Screaming for mercy

As to death I creep.

Mortal skin slipping,

I take one last breath.

My body fails me.

I embrace my death.

His love surrounds me,

Soothes my shattered soul.

Takes me in His arms,

I’ll achieve my goal.

I will rise again,

Walk the Earth with love;

Show those who still doubt,

His Glory above.
